Open the Gate - Great Advent Antiphons

Joined by David Cowen (Organ) Leicestershire Chorale presents a sequence of great advent antiphons that form the basis for their programme of chant, polyphony and organ improvisation, coupled with choral music from the 20th and 21st Centuries. Music by Hildegard von Bingen, William Byrd and Robert Ramsey sits alongside modern pieces by Sandstrom, Whitacre, Paul Mealor and others. An ideal opportunity for some respite and reflection in the season of Advent.
