No excuses, Leicester City must put it right – Nigel Pearson
Nigel Pearson offered no excuses for his side's 5-1 hammering at Nottingham Forest on Saturday and vowed they would put it right against Bristol City tomorrow night.
The Leicester City manager was so concerned with what he saw at the City Ground he called in the players for extra training yesterday to get the performance out of their system.

Pearson said he would not launch a witch hunt to identify the worst performers and emphasised it was down to the whole squad to get the club back on track.
"It was an embarrassing performance and I am not going to make any excuses," he said.
"We got what we deserved. What we have to do now is make sure we put it right at the next opportunity.
"It was awful, quite frankly. All the hallmarks of us as a team were not there. We are normally well disciplined and we work hard but we were second best all day.
"It is rare. It doesn't happen very often but it doesn't make it any easier to stomach, unfortunately.
"It is not a good day for us, from being a side with a good defensive record up until today, it is a very poor outcome.
"It is about getting a response and not about making excuses. You enjoy the good times but, when something like this happens, you put it right as soon as possible.
"We will have a look at it and it is important to get a response so, when we play next, we get back to basics and make sure we produce a performance which is worthy of us.
"This is by far the worst performance and the worst result since I came here."
Pearson made two early substitutions, replacing Yann Kermorgant with Steve Howard when it was 1-0 and Matty Fryatt with Lloyd Dyer, but admitted the tactics made very little difference to the outcome.
"I made some early changes but I am not sure they had any effect," he said.
"We didn't start the game very well and didn't put them under any pressure.
"That is not a typical performance from us and it is important we get a response now."

“matty fryatt was good in league one but back in the championship i believe he has lost his touch, he looses every 50/50 ball he has no pace and no strength, we should have taken the £4m offer from hull, in my view he needs to go.”

“Ouch! That result did nothing to brighten my weekend. We need to target a top six finish which would be excellent on our first season back in 'Div' 2'. If we were promoted we would likely be down again the next year. IMO the team needs to be built now with a majority of 'future' players and not temporary journeymen just to 'squeeze' us up.”

“Chin up guys and girls. Yes Sat was a total embarrassment of the highest order but it is an horrific exception rather than the rule we will learn from it. I cannot believe some of the garbage on here regarding Pearson. The man took our club when it was at its lowest point, got the results and promotion we needed and has gotten msot people believing in the club again after a few years of drastic under-achievement. We have to think longer term, we may not get promoted this year but we'll have a damned good go at it. If not then I am sure we will still have a decent season. Get behind the lads and lets get a good result tomorrow. Blue army!!!!!”

“Tom I think you almost got it spot on about the Goals but i think Pearson sets out not to lose a game instead of setting out to win it and that is why i pay my money to watch.”

“Blah Blah Blah Forest S***
Wait till the end of the season and see where you are, its only half way through the season and remeber you were absolute garbage at the start .
Earnshaw has ambition and its not with you lot , how unlucky for you lot come transfer window day.
City will be there end of the season with a victory at Wembley and another trophy to add to the cabinet .
So you can have top spot as the No1 team in the East Midlands for a Championship side while we will be eating prawn sandwhiches at Old Trafford
Blue Armeeeeeeeeeeee”
