Two to face trial
Two men accused of killing a 51-year-old solicitor have pleaded not guilty to murder.
John Cort (53), of Rutland Street, Leicester, and Brian Farrell (36), of Queensborough Terrace, west London, appeared before Nottingham Crown Court yesterday.
They are accused of killing Vina Patel, whose body was found by relatives at Corts and Co solicitors, in Blackbird Road, Leicester, on January 15.
The case was adjourned for trial at Nottingham Crown Court. Both men were remanded back into custody.
An inquest into the death of Ms Patel, who worked as a solicitor, was opened last month and adjourned.
