Fallen heroes

The Fallen Heroes pictured below represent the tragic human cost of the British Forces campaign in Afghanistan since October 2001 and the conflict in Iraq since March 2003.

Servicemen from Leicester who have given their lives in active service in Afghanistan include Private Leigh Reeves, Royal Marine Jonathan Wigley, Private Chris Gray, Acting Corporal Marcin Wojtak, and Warrant Officer Dan Shirley.

Among the soldiers killed in Iraq are Private Adam Morris. He died in May, 2006, aged 19. Senior Aircraftsman Christopher Dunsmore died in July, 2007. He was 29.
