A fishy tale
Certain sections of the new Caterpillar Stand didn’t see the full 80 minutes on Saturday – and they certainly didn’t have restricted views.
The big corporate seating area in the middle of the stand holds around 1,000 people in nicely-padded seats.
When the second half kicked off, there were no more than a dozen of them back in their seats, leaving a big rectangular block of emptiness smack bang in the middle of a packed stand for five minutes or so.
I got a tap on my shoulder from an un-named member of the press corps.
“Hey Martin, when was the last time you saw a prawn sandwich-shaped hole in the middle of a stand at Leicester?”
