Top gardeners will be bringing their expertise to libraries to celebrate the coming of spring.

Nick Hamilton, of Barnsdale Gardens, Rutland, will join Derek Cox, of Radio Leicester's Down to Earth, Graham Pavey and Andrey Mikolajski for talks around the country.

County council development librarian John Martin said: "The events will encourage people to go into their gardens and put winter behind them."

Nick Hamilton will present Spring into Spring – Plants to give Spring Interest at Hinckley Library, next Monday.

Tickets at £2 can be bought from the library.
