'Our hospitals are very different to Mid Staffordshire,' says Leicester hospitals boss
Bosses at Leicester's hospitals say they are studying the detail of the Francis report and its recommendations.

"Our trust board has a good line of sight to what is happening across the organisation and works together with clinical leaders to address, understand and tackle any issues that are highlighted through the many different initiatives we use to monitor experience and quality.
"Like any other trust in the country, we are not naïve enough to believe that instances of poor practice do not exist in our hospitals.
"They do, and they have, in Leicester. However, they are not commonplace and they are certainly not accepted or acceptable.
"Our patients and staff should feel confident that we won't pretend problems don't exist and we certainly won't turn a blind eye to poor care."
University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust board members will be meeting on February 15, to discuss the report ahead of a public board meeting on February 28.
Mr Adler said: "If any member of the public has concerns about care they, or a relative, have received, please contact our patient liaison and information team, which will be able to investigate their concerns."
