great in the summer

“this hotel situated on new walk is lovely, i sat outside it in the summer last year ans had a sandwich and an iced cold larger, the food was delicious and as i was sitting in the sun in a peacefull location i really did start to feel like i was on my holidays. i havent actually stayed in the hotel so i cannot comment on that but if the lunch is anything to go by then im sure the over night stay would be welcoming”

Exactly what you expect of a hotel

“If you truly want a QUIET afternoon drink, then why not visit a hotel? This place is ideal, comfortable seating, nice decor, not too far out of the city centre. A perfectly average hotel, popular with weddings and work parties, can get very busy at Christmas time and I believe as a consequence the quality of food and service drops a little.”

Good Solid Hotel

“My girlfriends father stays here each time he comes to visit and we often meet for a drink or even have Sunday lunch and with the exception of perhaps the snootiest maitre de I have ever had the displeasure of encountering I can say that the decor is classy, the staff very friendly and the food, at least on a sunday, was perfectly acceptible. Because they get most of their business from weddings it can be quite loud and this apparently means a broken night s sleep.”

Staff Meeting

“Never stayed here but I came for a staff training day. I got lost finding the meeting room and the staff were very nice and came with me to show me where our room was. I was very happy that not only the room was spotless they had great air conditioning the buffet food was great. I would go again”

Hidden Gem

“Situated just off the picturesque New Walk, this is an amazing and beautiful hotel. Rooms are delightful and they have conference rooms available for business', perhaps a wedding reception or a birthday party. Lovely during the summer. Food was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful.”

wedding in september

“I came to a wedding here in September 2010 and found it very nice. although i found the drink prices very expensive i still had a enjoyable time there and would go again.”

lovely hotel

“I came here last summer for a team building day with work and the service we received was fantastic. Members of staff kept popping in to re-fill tea, coffee, water, juice and biscuits so we were never without. Lunch was lovely, we had a could buffet which was ever soo tasty and well presented. The hotel itself seemed very clean and well presented. ”

Happy Days

“I have been here for numerous events (including my 1st night as a married man) and the service is great. The last time i went was for a meal at a Christmas party. It was three courses and all of them were spot on. The band and dj were very good too. I shall not be looking anywhere else this year for my staff party.”
