A driver was taken to hospital after a collision between a 4x4 vehicle and a lorry.

The motorist was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary after the two-vehicle crash on the A46 – between the A6 and the A607 turn-offs – near Cossington, on Thursday.

Fire crews from Western station, in Leicester, and Syston were called to the incident at 8.10pm.
