Duo cash in after Town's slip-up
The Gordon brothers played key roles in Harborough's 10-wicket victory at Hinckley.
Joe claimed his best first-team figures of 4-52 with his medium pace as the home side scored 230-7, with Matt Craven hitting 74 and Shiv Thakor 45.
But that proved nothing like enough when Harborough openers Robert Taylor and Chris Gordon got to work.
Taylor has established himself as a rapid scorer this season and lived up to that billing by cracking an unbeaten 106 off 104 balls, with seven fours and three sixes. His partner, opening the innings for the first team for the first time, hit 103 off 128 balls with 11 fours.
Their unbroken stand of 231 is believed to be a club record.
Barrow were almost as dominant in their nine-wicket home victory over Kibworth.
The visitors have been in fine form recently but, apart from skipper Andy Smith, their batsmen struggled after they were put in.
Smith opened and carried his bat for an unbeaten 90, but no-one else reached 20 as his side were all out for 151. Seamers Stan Galloway (4-57) and Imran Lodhi (4-34) did the damage.
Rishi Patel then hit 83 not out as Barrow galloped home in the 31st over.
Hinckley's relegation worries increased when Syston and Sileby both won.
Sileby off-spinners Jake Gillett (3-31) and Liam Kinch (2-41) played key roles in restricting Stoughton to 192-9 off 50 overs.
An under-strength Stoughton team were handicapped by Chad Yates being injured during his innings of 23.
Sileby lost their openers with only 10 runs on the board but Luke Gale (61), Dave Torr (42) and Kinch (36) steered them home with three wickets and eight overs to spare.
That was despite another fine performance from left-arm pace bowler Matt Ryan (6-72).
Syston had to dig deep for a two-wicket home win over Ashby Hastings.
Anshuman Bhagawati took 3-26 to help dismiss the visitors for 172 despite Luke Jenkinson hitting 39 and Sam Carline 36.
Syston cracked 25 off the first two overs of their reply but then slumped to 35-5 after five.
Umar Razzaq (31) shared a century stand for the sixth wicket with Aleem Mahmood.
Mahmood clinched the match with a six and finished 89 not out as Syston won by two wickets in the 31st over.
Leicester Ivanhoe bowled out hosts Illston Abey for 159 and, with Tony Pridmore and Steve Punchard at the helm, won by seven wickets.
