How library has changed over 50 years
Melton Mowbray: The annual general meeting of the Melton branch of the University of the Third Age (U3A) heard chairman, Leslie Cornfield thank all the committee for the work they had done over the past year.
Treasurer Colin Beavis is being replaced by Peter Simpson.
Julian Crew, a library development worker, then spoke of the work of Melton library, and how it had changed over the past 50 years, now providing a valuable service not just in the town, but right across the borough.
The next meeting will be on April 16 at the Baptist Church, Leicester Road, at 10am when Lynne Jones will be speaking on the work of the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.
