Sileby win relegation battle
But it is looking grim for Hinckley who suffered a 93-run home defeat against Kibworth.
Sileby won the toss and were all out in the 50th over for 202.
Opener Jake Gillett cracked 56 and shared a stand of 108 for the second wicket with Liam Kinch (49). Luke Gale added 39 before the Syston slow bowlers caused problems for the lower order. Left-arm wrist-spinner Laurence Perry claimed 4-69 and slow left-armer Pete Howard 3-44.
Syston looked well placed in their reply on 122-2. Teenage opener Will Edwards hit 36 and Anshuman Bhagawati 55.
But off-spinner Eamonn Bourke then claimed 3-54 as Syston slipped to 188 all out in the 48th over despite skipper Scott Cooper scoring 28.
An unbeaten 97 from Sunny Patel guided Kibworth to 238-7 at Hinckley with Dips Patel adding 40.
Skipper Matt Craven, who has been in fine form in recent weeks, led the home side's reply with an unbeaten 57. But the other batsmen generally found it tough going and Hinckley were all out for 145 with Richard Jackson taking 5-20.
Illston are adrift at the foot of the table and this defeat leaves Hinckley next to bottom on 186 points.
They are 39 points behind Syston and Craven said they would have to win their last three games to give themselves a chance of beating the drop.
