Why not make someone's Christmas special this year
LEICESTER'S Hospitals staff are appealing to the people of Leicestershire and Rutland to think about donating a gift to an older person who will be
spending their Christmas Day in hospital.
Last year around 600 patients over the age of 70 spent Christmas day in one of their three hospitals.
Sadly, many of these patients didn't get presents or visitors at the one time of the year when most people are enjoying the day with loved ones opening

presents.
A spokesman for Leicester's Hospitals said: "Unfortunately these patients are not well enough to go home and we'd like to make their Christmas day as
festive as possible, with your help.
"This year in partnership with Age UK LeicesterShire and Rutland, we would like to encourage local people to consider donating a small gift to bring a smile
to someone's face."
Donated gifts can be for a male or female, which should be indicated on the gift label (which can be printed from the website - see below) along with a
message from the donator.
Gifts placed in a gift bag and clearly labelled are welcomed.
Download the label (The PDF Gift Card link just below), write a message and put it on the gift.
