Another missed opportunity on park-and-ride
I see the city and the county councils are planning changes to the park-and-ride bus service from Monday.
Once again, despite representations, they have made no attempt to link any of the park-and-ride service sites with any of the three main city hospitals.
-

Once again, they have made no credible attempt to connect properly with the Hospital Hopper or any other bus service, missing an excellent opportunity to provide some relief for the chronic parking problems at the hospitals.
Once again, they have failed to use these services to promote multi-generator day tickets to encourage use of other generator services as well as the park-and-ride.

The Leicester flexi ticket is valid on Arriva, Centrebus, First Kinch and Stagecoach services. Why not the park-and-ride as well?
Why not expand the flexi ticket to cover the county area, with weekly and four-weekly versions, too?
Both councils say they listen to comments received. From whom?

“Looks like another good piece of planning/organisation by this council.Maybe have even got a few cars to use that wonderful waste of space known as Birstall park n ride.”
