A video featuring two images of Madeleine McCann as she may look as a six-year-old is being watched by up to 100,000 internet users every hour.

People from more than 150 countries have viewed the 60-second film "A Minute for Madeleine" since it was released on Monday.

The video was created by the Home Office-funded Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) and is the first of its kind to use social networking sites, blogs, chat forums and search engines to spread the message.

Jim Gamble, of CEOP, said: "We're delighted with the response but this is only the start."
