Leicestershire First charity to award £3,000 to best volunteer

A charity is searching for unsung community heroes.

Nominations close tomorrow for the next Leicestershire First Award for the county's best volunteer.

Anyone in the county can nominate local volunteering heroes or heroines and the prize is a £3,000 donation to the winner's charity of choice.

The awards have so far seen £33,000 donated to a dozen Leicestershire charities chosen by the winners.
