It is the only practice in Leicester with its own 24 hour hospital, where a dedicated and experienced caring professional team is present throughout the night, at weekends and public holidays should your pet need help. It is conveniently based in the Park Veterinary Hospital, on Dominion Road in Glenfield.
Our aim, through both our pet and farm practices, is to provide the very best care for a healthy and prolonged life for your pets and animals. Please check our website regularly for the latest news that affects you.
News - Parvovirus
Vets at the Park Vet Group have seen cases of the serious disease Parvovirus enteritis recently. This particularly unpleasant gastroenteritis infection leads to severe vomiting and diarrhoea often with blood leading to rapid dehydration and shock. Other vets in Leicestershire have also reported cases.
It affects young puppies especially but can affect adults as well when dogs are not vaccinated or overdue boosters. We urge all dog owners to ensure their pets are fully up to date with their boosters and anyone considering getting a new puppy contact the surgery to find out about how we can ensure full protection with the Park Vet Groups 3 injection vaccination course.

Fleas Your Pet and You!
Dogs and Cats, as we all know, can become infested with fleas. These irritating little creatures have a fascinating life cycle, which can mean an infestation on your pet, turns into a huge problem in your home.
There are many different species of flea but the most common are the Dog flea and the Cat flea. Cat fleas are the most common and will infest both cats AND dogs.
The Park Veterinary Group Glenfield Hospital has been awarded Veterinary Hospital status, the only in Leicester, by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
The original base of the Practice was in farm and equine work. The Practice dates back to the early 1900's when it was run by a single person.
Our one aim is timeless - to provide the highest quality of care for your pet for a prolonged and happy life. We have always employed highly trained, approachable staff using modern facilities to set about achieving just that.
