BBC Children in Need Appeal Night 2012 takes place on Friday, November 16, and we’re putting together a list of CiN fundraising activities taking place in Leicester and Leicestershire.
Our reporters and photographers will be getting to as many events as possible across Leicester and Leicestershire so let us know what you’ve got planned. We can’t promise to get to everything but we willl help to spread the word.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14
LazyLawn in Rutland stars on DIY SOS: The Big Build. LazyLawn in Rutland is playing its part in Children In Need this year. The artificial grass firm donated a lawn worth over £5,000 towards the renovation of a centre for children with additional needs in Edinburgh, and will be on a BBC 1 special programme: DIY SOS: The Big Build on Wednesday, November 14.
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15
Children In Need fundraiser at Kiddi Safe Nursery.Pudsey will be at the nursery helping with activities and where there will be loads of fundraising activities taking place including face painting, T-shirt printing, sponge your teacher, PJ Day or spotty day for children, food sale, and lots more.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16
Blaby and District Lions Club. Volunteers will be taking part in a full day of collecting from the public, with some helpers dressed as Pudsey. Support them anytime from 9.30am to 7pm at Blaby Aldi and shopping centre, the park and ride at Fosse Park and Sainsburys at Fosse Park.
Build a Bear Workshop at Highcross, Leicester. The Build-A-Bear shop in Highcross is supporting Children In Need by donating £5 from every sale of a Pudsey and Blush bear to BBC Children in Need. Last year the shops nationally sold 11,840 bears and raised £102,000.

Sixth form pupils and staff perform Gangnam Style Dance at St Paul’s Catholic Secondary School.
For Children in Need this year the staff and sixth form of St Paul’s Catholic Secondary School, in Leicester, will be performing the Gangnam Style Dance for the lower school to watch. The students will buy tickets priced at about £3 each to come and watch the show at Lunchtime 1:20pm – 2pm. Good luck to the stars of the show.
Family Fun Weekend at the Ring O Bells The fun starts at 5pm on Friday and includes colouring competitions for youngsters with Children In Need medals for the winners. A children's party on Friday evening followed by karaoke for the grown-ups. On Saturday from 5pm you can "Splash Ash" the pub boss and throw sponges to raise funds! Plus bingo higher & lower, sticky 13s, disco and face painting for the kids.

First Bus Leicester Staff at First Bus in Leicester will be raising money for BBC Children in Need by taking in part in Fancy Dress Friday. The theme is Storybook Characters and Adventure Heroes and all staff are being encouraged to join in the fun, from drivers to engineering staff. Staff in the First Travel Shop will also be joining in the fun by holding Pudsey's Scratch & Win Sweepstake where you could win a FirstMonth ticket (or 2 First 10 Journey Tickets) or a tin of Roses. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 17
Family Fund Raiser for Children in Need at B&Q Hinckley.
The theme of the day is the “Wild West” with the staff and customers encouraged to turn out in Cowboy/Cowgirl outfits to help raise monies for Children in Need. There will also be a barn dance in the afternoon with live music provided by Leicestershire band, the Malarkey Barn Dance Band.

Enderby Parish Church The church is holding a gift fayre, with refreshments, a raffle, toy tombola, homewares, gifts and crafts for sale including Christmas gifts. Help raise lots for Children In Need. Venue details Enderby Parish Church, Blaby Road /Leicester Lane Junction, Enderby, Leicester.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18
Nationwide Tapathon at Anne-Elizabeth School of Dance Studio Andrew House To raise money for Children in Need the dance school in Aylestone is taking part in a nationwide tapathon. At 1pm 50 students will join in with an estimated 100,000 dancers across the country to try and break the world record for the largest synchronised tap dance, all in aid of charity. It's on from noon to 2pm.

Nationwide Tapathon at Brooksby Melton College. Tappers from three local dance schools and students from the college are set to take part in the national challenge. These include: 2-B Productions, Fly Dance Company and the Lacey Farell School of Dance.
