Baker's Yard in Oakham has been transformed from the old town Bakery into a contemporary new pub / bar and eatery.
We are open all day serving breakfast from 8am to 11am, lunch 12noon to 2.30pm and evening meal 6pm to 9pm. Coffee and tea, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are served all day, so whether you fancy coffee and cake or a pint and a sandwich, Bakers Yard is the place to come.
In between food service, we offer a selection of freshly made toasted sandwiches and nibbles.. Our selection of wines include house white, red or rose starting at £14.70 a bottle, £4.80 for a large glass. There is also a selection of lagers and real ales, and champagne and prosecco by the glass.
Eat and drink anywhere in the bar, find a table and we will be happy to cater for your every need.
Alternatively, the Thatch area can be reserved for lunch or dinner, and is very popular for private functions, catering for up to twenty four people.
Our courtyard seating area proves to be ever popular for drinking and dining, why not sit and enjoy a jug of Pimms with friends after work?

Lovely food

“My husband and I escaped for a few hours last night and decided to try Baker's Yard. We both ordered fish and chips. The portion was very generous and if it hadn't been so delicious I doubt I would have finished it. Superb. Service is very good and the interiors are comfortable and nicely designed. After our supper we retired to one of the lovely comfortable leather sofa's for coffee. Will definitely go back.”

Delicious food & great service

“Had a great lunch with my son yesterday. Delicious pate and chutney (wish they sold it) and mini burger and chips was first class. Was even allowed to take my dog in!”

Scrumptious

“Just had lunch at this new wine bar/restaurant and it was absolutely lovely. The place was bustling and service excelllent. Can't recommend it highly enough . . . take cash with you though, as the owner is battling it out with BT and won't be able to take cards for the next few days. It's great to have an up market eaterie in Oakham and one that is open 7 days a week. Perfect.”
