Lovely pub

You just can't go wrong here. If you're looking for decent pub grub and a nice environment then look no further!! They had information up about some of the themed nights they've got coming up - and they seem to do quite a bit of live music too. It's not local to me but the lunch was brilliant and I'd definitely go back.

    Rate the soup!

“Beautiful old pub and very popular with the locals. I have to admit on my first visit years ago I was initially disappointed and didnt return. However I gave it another go about a year ago and was very impressed with the improvements. Since then I have been back a few times and would recommend it to anyone. The soups here are my favourite!”

    great family pub

“This is a really English style family pub, it serves food during the day, i think the Lunch Menu starts at 12 and ends at 3pm and then the Evening menu starts again at 6pm untill 9ish depending on the Chef. The staff are friendly and the drinks are average priced at around £3 for a Lager/Beer and £4 for a Large glass of house wine. The pub has a garden at the back and benches where you can sit at the Front. The pub allows dogs into the bar area. Overall a great pub ”

    Will be back for more

“I can't rate The Old Greyhound highly enough. I'm pretty sure that was the best steak I've ever had, and the beef dripping chips were definitely the best chips I've ever had. Dessert was also top stuff. .

The atmosphere has that mix of old school British that feels classic and welcoming rather than tacky or pompus. The waiter was very knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. I will definitely be going back. ”

A long and proud history of serving the local community

“The Old Greyhound in Great Glen has a long and proud history of serving the local community. From its origins as a coach house in the 18th Century, the Old Greyhound has passed through many hands and served up countless pints of ale to thirsty travellers. Its modern incarnation can be relied upon for quality beer, fine food and a variety of theme nights that are sure to keep you entertained.”
