It's clean sweep for our anglers
Leicester anglers took the top three places in the K2 event at Shearsby Valley Lakes.
The competition, which started in April, reached its climax on Monday with Rob Wootton winning first prize with 124lb 12oz.
John Shellard was second with 102-08, followed by Shaun Huggins, 102-04, Michael Elliot, 100-08, and Sam Brown, 87-02.
Home angler Sam Brown was victorious in the Wednesday Kobra Open at Dynamite Makins.

Brown's winning weight was 176-06, with John Adamson (Kobra Feeders & Levas) second on 130-04.
Top weight in the Thursday Kobra Open competiton at Dynamite Makins was an excellent 101-00 by Andy Meadows (Redfin Angling Centre).
Steve Brindley (Force Baits) landed 91-00 for the runners-up spot.
Bob Greenbury (Sensas Leics) was the winner of Sunday's Open match at Lakeview Fisheries with 104-09.
Second was Shaun Kemp (LVSNott) with 03-11, followed by Chris Neal (Rutlanders Oakham), 100-05, Paul Taylor (LVS Leics), 87-02, Steve Gardner (LVS Leics), 71-14, and Steve Hurst (LVS Leics), with 62-00.
The Veterans Saturday match at Lakeview was won by Chris Shore (LVS Leics) with a haul of 62-00.
Paul Cooper was top angler in the Oadby Royal British Legion match fished on Waterloo Lake.
Cooper managed 117-04, with Steve Jones runner-up on 59-01. Third was Mark Hudson, 54-04, from Karl Gillett, 42-10.
Wreake held their Bill Herbert Memorial match at Mill Farm Fishery, and Brian Hoyle won with a catch of 55-10.
Second was Neil Halliwell, 37-08, from Pete Wooton, 35-14, Nick Davey, 32-12, and Nigel Miller 31-00.
Paul Danson was the winner of Age Concern's Dalby Trophy, fished at Olly Farm, Dunton Bassett.
Danson collected 90-00, to finish ahead of Dave London, 60-00, and John Clarke, 49-08.
Eyebrook Trout Fishery veteran Ceth Mauger, of Leicester, enjoyed a recent day session and took a limit bag of eight rainbows from the Sams Dyke area.
Stuart Bilsdon, of Uppingham, has also been enjoying a great deal of success and, with good friend Tony Tibbert, of Market Overton, landed 18 fish.
