Two schools in Leicestershire closed due to the snow and freezing weather
Two schools in Leicestershire have been forced to close due to the snow and freezing weather conditions today.
John Ferneley College, in Melton Mowbray, is closed (Monday, January 14) due the weather conditions. However, it is still open for pupils taking GCSE exams this morning.
Sherrier Church of England Primary School, in Lutterworth, is also closed after its heating system failed. The school hopes to reopen tomorrow.
Leicestershire is being warned to expect more snow later today after last night's light snowfall settled in most parts of the county.
