A selfish attitude

In reply to the letter from Student regarding the new Summit building, ("Move if you do not like change", Mercury Mailbox, October 2) may I say once again the selfish attitude really comes across.

When many residents moved into their homes it was because most of the work was there – ie hosiery, boot and shoe and all the subsequent trades that went with them.

The only thing I've noticed that the student population brings is litter, kebab remains and vomit.

Also, nice to see "Student" putting his name up.
