Weekend picks
Love music but too young to go to gigs? Leicester likely lads The Screening play an all-ages show at The Charlotte on Saturday afternoon.
They're headlining a Club Sandwich five-band special, with Razmataz, Astromaniacs and more.
It's on from 2pm to 6pm. And it's free.
Former Iron Maiden frontman Blaze Bayley comes out of exile to play the Vic bikers pub in Coalville this weekend.
Bayley – who was the frontman in much fancied Tamworth scuzz rockers Wolfsbane before his largely overlooked five year tenure in Maiden – will be playing the Whitwick Road boozer on Saturday.
Tickets are £10 on the door. For more info call the pub on 01530 814718.
Meanwhile Curve's opening show is in full swing. It's called Lift Off and will tickle your fancy with an eclectic mix of performances including circus, gospel and poetry.
It runs on both Saturday and Sunday. Ring the box office on 242 3595.
