Now we've got to do this away from home, admits Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson
Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson wants to see his side take their home form into their travels after completing back-to-back wins at the King Power Stadium.
City made it four victories from as many home starts yesterday when they completed a 3-1 success against a strong Hull side, following up the 2-1 midweek win over Burnley.
"Clearly we need to get our away form going," said the City boss after yesterday's win.
"When you look at it, we have 12 points from seven games. We could easily be three or four points better off.

"Our performances in general have been very, very good, but in our away games we have been a bit unfortunate or careless and we need to try to rectify that."
There was nothing unfortunate or careless about yesterday's performance, in which there were a number of outstanding performances throughout the City side, with David Nugent firing a hat-trick and Anthony Knockaert again showed his qualities.
Pearson said Nugent's treble was reward for the sheer hard work the striker has put in for the City cause.
"Our forwards have worked exceptionally hard and David Nugent and Jamie Vardy worked hard for the team," said Pearson.
"We have created lots of goal-scoring chances in most of the games we have played home and away. It is about the team winning and I think we got the result we deserved (against Hull).
"All strikers get frustrated when they are not scoring and would much rather be tapping the ball in than making 25 to 30-yard covering runs. They recognise, though, that they have to work in both directions.
"Our forwards have worked very hard this season and David got his rewards. I'm pleased for him but more importantly pleased with the team."
Knockaert has caught the eye in recent matches and yesterday was no different as Hull struggled to contain him.
"He is learning how to play in England," said Pearson. "He has an awful lot of talent, we know that.
"Anthony is a real talent and a likeable lad.
"Hopefully, we will be seeing a lot more of him."

“Geoff - I don't need a long memory to remember you pointless dig at me yesterday.
for those who missed it.
Chappie - as in the dogfood - hilarious - you crack me up, I'll tell my Dad, Sister, Grandad, Uncles, etc, they won't have heard it before either. It would have been funny if my family weren't connected with the brand. Sorry to ruin your joke though Geoff, It was hilarious honest.”

“I would like to see us attack and pass the ball about like we are playing at home. Take the game to the home team. We have the attack to score goals anywhere!”

“A win against 'Boro will be a huge boost to confidence on the road, will really start to announce our intent which should start to worry the top teams, and could lift us into real contention in the top 6 places for the first time since Pearson left.
Start winning away from home, keep up with fortress KP and we should really be in for an enjoyable few months.
If NP really goes with his new found tactic and gives Knockaert or if injured Marshall the free role in behind the front 2, keeping one wide player, then DD and James working the defensive and linking roles will force the home team to force their game, which will play right into our hands.”

“We have got the monkey off our back with 2 wins on the bounce which i know were at home and we have been strong at home, but we also got a another monkey off our back in coming from behind to win against burnley, so it would be nice to get a point away at boro who are going well at the moment.
Come on city !!”

“I agree with Yorkiefox. In our away games we play like the home team in a very attacking manner. Blackburn and Charlton shut the door and get a goal on the break. It doesn't work for us. Vardy's goal against Blackburn and King's goal against Charlton came about from defending well and playing on the break.
In conclusion we should start more defensively. Get to half time without conceding and then grab one or two on the break. If we play like this against Boro we'll get a point at least. If we start on the attack they'll tear us apart.”

In a somewhat flowery way that has little football content, but it agrees with many of our views”
