Belgrave Harrier Will Cockerill claimed a first-time victory in the latest Braunstone parkrun.

Cockerill won in 16min 49sec from Hinckley's Jason Brotherhood, who was second in 17.08, with West End Runners' Gary Hawksley third in 17.30.

The women's race was won by Louise Gibson (Hinckley) in 18.22, a convincing margin from Charnwood's Kate Ramsey (19.14) with Maxine Powell (Wigston Phoenix) third in 21.55.
